X-Paints Are Innovative
X-Paints are innovative oil paints made for the creation of works of art, not designed for any other use.
X-Paints are like sculpting with color, painting with depth. Depending on how you apply them thin layers will usually flex with the canvas. Thicker layers or deep impasto may like a more rigid support. Carry out tests to ensure that X-Paints are right for your methods, intended purpose and application.

Painting oils over Acrylic Paints can be problematic. Cracks can appear in the oil paints… a few days to months or even years later.
Oil or Acrylic Primers are OK. Canvas should always be primed several times to prevent the organic acids in the oil binder from rotting the canvas.
Polyester scenic canvas as supplied to Theaters for backdrops is dimensionally stable and makes an excellent choice for oil paints. Priming Polyester cloth is not strictly necessary.
